Am so pleased that “Chuck Your Guts Up” are playing at “Jake’s House”. Was very concerned about the location of “Jake’s House” but the ended up walking by quite by chance. Someone had very helpfully written “Jake’s House” with a finger on a dirty window. Phew. Load. Off. Mind.

Am in King Street near the cinema. I like the coal ships from my spot because I don’t have a water view…and they manifest as stray office blocks that slowly move through the CBD. But Carrington is cool too. All that humming industrial shit that does who knows what. Where are the workers? I think that the port is run by daleks.

Abandoned "Play Time" Fun Parlour to go...all...
It’s hilarious. A DA was slipped into my letterbox yesterday. Some one is going to turn the old abandoned PlayTime Video Game arcade on King Street opposite Greater Union into a “Virtual Golfing Range”.
Is there really much of a call for that sort of thing? Surely in a place like Newie, which has heaps of vacant space one can just…hit a ball with a stick….somewhere.

New Scooter Boutique to open in King Street.
I was walking up King Street and noticed a new store being fitted out. Called “Greg and Audrey”. It seems to be a combined fashion store and scooter dealership. I wonder if it really will sell scooters? It does seem rather small for the purpose.
Obviously it is named after Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn in “Roman Holiday” - but who are the eponymous couple? Thus far I’ve only seen them through...

New cafe run by Suspension - but much closer to...
There’s been a shop under renovation opposite Bocados. A mate was walking past who asked what was going in…it’s the guys from Suspension working on a new coffee shop. I love Suspension - but can’t wait for this new place to open. Just the right spot for my Saturday morning coffee…
