@howispentmysummervacation: About all ages shows at the Kensington…I’ve heard nothing other than a report in the Herald that they were given all ages approval. What that means and when they’ll start…who knows. But they spent a fortune on the place and someone wants a return on it! It will certainly be the plushest all age venue. IN THE WORLD!

Things are changing in the blocks I can see out my...
We’re getting the revived Lucky Country Hotel…Coffee on Crown is opening a new Grinder…a new motorcycle dealership is moving in…the Kensington has gotten all-ages approval….a building is being converted to Student Housing and a virtual golf range is being built. And that’s before I look the other way and see where the new courthouses and city campus are going....
@toolateforforgiveness I sort of like only being able to tell time to the hour. Gives me a sense of indeterminacy.

…if you pay attention to the geography of the article…many of the new places are opening in the CBD. It provides some great spaces. I’ve always said that the revival of central Newcastle won’t be underwritten by removal of the train line…but by the realisation that big retail won’t be the saviour and that people come to the sea for lifestyle. Leave big shopping...
