I dropped into Cooks Hill Galleries and had a look at the Greg Somers exhibition “Land, Sky and Sea”. There were a couple of nice things that I’d have been more than happy to buy - but they had already sold! Plus I’m running out of room to put art…and have a whole heap of things that need framing. Will have to build a storage spot so I can rotate some pics!
Somers has some hackneyed views of the city (you know the ones - standard views of the beach and coast, that we all love but become over-familiar here as paintings of the opera house and bridge are in sydney) - but also some lovely small nocturnes of out of the way places that capture the spirit of the city.
